About MCCWB

What we do
Our volunteer-run board operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and works closely with Texas Child Protective Services to provide comforts to foster children that the state does not. Some of our services include:
  • Birthday and Christmas gifts to each child
  • Emergency clothing and respite care for children who are abruptly put into care
  • Transportation for parents to attend supervised visits with their children
  • Graduation events for children in care
  • Promote adoption, foster parenting, and support Child Protecting Services programs
  • Fulfill miscellaneous needs as requested - car seats, cribs, bedding, summer camps, etc.
One of our goals is to raise awareness about the issue of child abuse and how to prevent it. We achieve this goal through the distribution of prevention materials to the community, as well as the annual Blue Ribbon Run. Our message is spread through TV, radio, newspaper, and online advertising as well as to the runners who attend the run.

How we do it
We raise funds to cover the costs of our services through county funds, private donations, jury fees, and sponsors for the Blue Ribbon Run. Please follow us on Facebook and see the How YOU Can Help page to see how you can help the the Board!
